Frequently Asked Questions

  • What makes Estuary Garden Design different?

We provide the whole package to transform your garden – garden designers, years of horticultural experience, project management, as well as all the right resources to complete the construction (builders, carpenters, electricians). This means you don’t get a bland mediocre garden, you get one with real wow factor that is designed and built to a high standard, but also has a thought-through planting scheme so there is always something new bursting into bloom to enjoy. It also means you don’t have to source and deal with multiple different tradespeople yourself. However, if you have your preferred tradespeople we can also of course work with them.

  • What is the difference between Estuary Garden Design & a landscaper?

Generally speaking, a landscaper is a builder that can undertake the construction of your garden. Although some landscapers do offer to do your design, we have qualified garden designers which are the difference between you getting a bland garden and one with real wow factor that has considered all your needs. With our horticultural background we also ensure you get the most appropriate plants taking into consideration soil type, sunlight conditions/aspect and other factors. A landscaper without horticultural experience is likely to put in plants that may have an instant impact, but do not give year round interest. We also provide you with an aftercare plan to help you ensure your garden thrives.

  • What is the difference between your consultation service and your garden design service?

Our consultation service empowers you to transform your garden on your own or with your preferred tradespeople. We give you ideas, advice, information and a hand drawn layout sketch which you can then take forward. Our garden design & build service provides you with the full transformation. We work with you to finalise a very detailed plan including all materials, we complete the construction, position the plants and provide you with an aftercare plan to ensure your new garden flourishes.

  • Why is it so difficult to give a price guideline?

As you can imagine, each of our clients have different requirements. Some have a small garden but complex requirements like water features, outdoor kitchens etc, whilst a large garden may be quite simple and only have a lawn, shrubs and a patio. Our price guide gives you a rough idea of what to expect, but please do note that with our experience and solution focused mindset, we will find a way to make your budget work.
