“We engaged EGD for a consultation to help us plan what we would do the back garden last year. We didn’t have a specific budget in mind - other than cheap!!! - or a specific theme or plan either. So we’re glad we had someone else come up with the ideas for us.

Alan listened to what few thoughts and suggestions we had, mostly around what we don’t like about our garden currently, and took that away. I have to say we were very pleased with what came back. Alan has provided us some really great ideas, listened to what we said about budget and cost and came up with a really clear proposal, thorough and detailed explanations of what would work, where we could save or spend to suit our budget, and most importantly has given us something that we can mostly do ourselves in stages without turning the entire back garden into a building site!

I wouldn’t know where to start with the right plants to consider, but his knowledge was second to none he and totally got the “low maintenance” brief. When we do start doing work next year, we’ll most likely get Alan involved again to help us plan and manage the work as we do it.

I was very pleased with the garden consultation from Estuary Garden Design. The consultation was very holistic covering a lot of considerations like maintenance and upkeep, wildlife, seasons, usage, budget, storage, power and water sources etc. and the resulting report clearly took all those things into account.

Knowing very little about gardening, I came away confident about how to achieve the look I wanted. And using his list of plants we sourced them from a wholesaler saving around £500. It was brilliant to have someone with the knowledge and experience to turn my long and somewhat jumbled ideas into an achievable and lovely garden design.

Working with Alan turned the overwhelming prospect of tackling my garden into a manageable project.
